MARK GRANDFIELD & JEREMY BERLIN
Seasoned musicians, vocalist Mark Grandfield and keyboard player Jeremy Berlin perform as a duo to present a 40 minute set of songs from the American Songbook. Expect songs from Ray Charles, to Tony Bennett, to Frank Sinatra.
A long-time seasonal Vineyard resident, Grandfield has for more than three decades been a successful session singer in New York City, with much experience in commercial music production, jingles and voice-overs.
Jeremy Berlin is best known for his performances with Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish, yet is considered a “jazzman at heart”.
ISLAND HIP HOP RETURNS
The ISLAND HIP HOP group returns to the Pathways stage with more high-energy dance routines, performed by the island group that includes youth aged 4 to adult. Led by Elise Eve, the group celebrates hip hop culture through dance on Martha’s Vineyard.
TESSA PERMAR PERFORMS
Tessa Permar, performs new choreography: Specially For You – a solo performance in response to drastic changes to island culture she has been observing over the past year. Embodying many emotions, such as being cognizant of working as a caterer in one moment, and then being catered to by others in the next. Tessa graduated from MVRH, studied dance and performed at Vassar College, NY, at Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Co. in Israel, and at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center, CT. She has choreographed and performed in Austria, Israel, Scotland and in numerous venues across the USA.
JESSE JASON RETURNS
